A life well lived ...

Today my (Heather) grandmother went home to be with the Lord. Here she is with My Papa (passed away in October last year) and then Pictures of her with both boys. She loved babies even if they didn't always want to be held at the time (see picture of her with Pace) :)

Weddings!

Last weekend Jeremy's cousin Michelle was married to her beau, Andrew. We were not able to be there but wished we were able to. Michelle and Andrew we wish you guys all the best and hope that you have a long, happy life together!

More Teeth??!

Pace has cut 4 teeth in the last week and it looks like more are on the way. No wonder this kid has been so fussy and clingy! The most Ryan ever got at one time was 2. This kid has about 6 or 7 that he has been cutting all at one time. I guess that's what happens when you wait until you are a year old to cut teeth. Makes for long nights and days though with a fussy baby!

He loves to give Kisses with a wide open mouth ... just like Ryan's when he was first learning to give kisses. It's hard to believe that he will be one in just a few weeks!

All clear

The Dr gave Ryan the "all clear" today. We spent 5 minutes with him and 2 hours in traffic! He still has some brusing but looks so much better. We will continue with the eye drops and ointment for the next week. We also have another eye drop to use for 2 months to try to keep stys from forming. It is just something the Doc is trying. He said if he is going to get them he will get them but hopefully this will keep them manageable. Prayerfully he will not get anymore that have to be removed surgically!

Doing bettter!

RYAN: Hey everyone! Thanks for all the prayers. I am doing so much better. Mom tells me that the eye is a fast healer. I am still a bit bruised - more than you can see in the picture but I'm so much better than yesterday!! I'm looking forward to going to play outside today! Mom also gave me a funky hair-do today - I think it looks cool. I'm getting a haircut today!

PACE: I have 2 new teeth and 2 more trying to break through. I now have 3 1/2 teeth through on the bottom and 2 teeth coming in on top. Mom says they are in weird places. One of my "i" teeth is trying to break through then one of my front teeth is coming in. All I know is they hurt. I don't much care where they come in at - as long as they COME IN! :) I'm also trying my hardest to crawl. I long to be able to run around with my brother. It looks like so much fun - I get so cranky and fussy sometimes because I want to do it NOW.

Surgery over

Ryan's surgery is over and he is doing well. We went in for 1 sty to be drained and removed the DR drained and removed it but was also able to drain 2 others he had previously had over the last year ... He was thrashing around and a bit grumpy at first but after 3 cups of juice, a graham cracker, and an IV taken out he calmed down a lot. We are now home and he is resting and watching ELMO. Doesn't ELMO make everything better?
Thank you for all your prayers. Pray now that these sty's would not continue to come back. The DR said that some kids are just prone to get them. Pray that his "proneness" is over and that he would not get anymore - if they should come back that we are able to control them without surgery! Thanks guys! Love you all!

Teething!

PACE: Hey folks! I'm cutting 4 yes 4 teeth right now. It's terribly painfull! Mommy gives me fun things to chew on and play with but it doesn't help much I even like to chew on my toes! Mommy will tell me that in a few days (she always says I hope after those words) I will have new teeth come through my gums that will allow me to venture into new and exciting foods. It doesn't make me feel any better though ... It still hurts now! Plus, I'm really liking all the food that she gives me. Ryan will even want to taste it but he doesn't want much more than a taste. I guess he likes his food better ... more for ME! :) Mommy tells me that one day I will like the food that they eat. She says something about my daddy, brother and me eating her out of the house. Wonder what that means?

Surgery

Ryan will be having Surgery sometime this week or on Monday of next. He has a sty that instead of going away has grown and now we have to have it removed. Pray for him if you will that all will go well! We will e-mail out the exact time of the surgery so you can be praying for him at that time! We appreciate it!

Almost there

Pace has been trying hard to perfect the crawl. He tends to go backwards in stead of forward though. I think he will just move to walking instead of crawling :)

11 Months old

Today at 6:18 pm Pace is 11 Months old. How quickly the last 11 months have gone by! SO much has happened in 11 months. Pace is so much fun and loves to Smile. He hasn't started to crawl yet he does attempt to do so ... he goes backwards! He has started to take steps if we hold his hands. He loves Ryan and will watch everything he does. He hates to be alone and is a typical mommas boy! It's hard to believe that in one month we will be celebrating his first birthday! How fun!

Trouble & Praise

Ryan: Now that I'm a big boy I'm finding there are a lot of things that seem like good ideas but actually get you into trouble. Like climbing up onto the table when mommy is setting the table for dinner, throwing my dog's bone at my brothers HEAD. Also hitting my brother in the head with ... well anything ... even if it makes him laugh the first time. Taking away my brothers toys. (Guess that doesn't count as sharing?) Locking mommy out of the house when she goes to get the mail. Not holding onto mom or dad's hand in a parking lot. I'm sure I will discover some more ways soon.

I'm also learning about things that make mommy and daddy proud of me ... I've been doing great at those things too. I've been learning to go to the potty! Mommy and daddy do this weird dance every time I do and I've also been getting Ice-cream after I go potty. I should have tried this a long time ago! I'm also very good at cleaning up my toys and going to bed without a fuss! I love to read my Bible and have learned 2 Bible verses! Oh mommy could go on and on but I don't want to blush!

Talk to you later my peeps!

Back home

We are back home and can now post some pictures. We had a great trip visiting with Heather's family over Easter.

We have had a huge breakthrough in our house ... Ryan has decided that he was ready to Potty train. We thought we would wait until the summer but he has let us know otherwise. Thursday night he came to us and said he needed to go "poopoo" so we took him and sure enough he did need to go. Today he told us he needed to go "peepee" once again he did need to go. We did the potty dance and had an ice-cream party both times. Ryan now has his own "throne" thanks to Jeremy's parents and he is proud when he goes potty! Maybe this will be an easy thing to teach him!

Enjoy the photos from the past week ....

Happy Easter!

We hope that you all have a happy Easter! We have had a busy week. Jeremy's parents were here for a few days to visit with us and we also made it to FC to visit with some of Jeremy's Uncles and Aunts! It was a great visit! We have many pictures to post! I'll get to that just as soon as I can.

Hope you all have a great Easter day remembering that the Savior Rose again for us today! What an amazing thing He did for us all! Have a great day as we celebrate a Risen and Living Lord!

Gram comes to visit

Over the weekend Gram (Heather's Mom) came to visit and spend some time with us. It was great to have her here. We had a great time playing in the back yard and blowing bubbles. Thanks for coming to visit! Here are some pictures of our time with Gram.
