Lacking ...

My blog has been lacking in content lately. I'm so sorry to all you loyal blog readers ... all 5 of you :) Seriously, Life has been a bit hectic around here lately. We have had dr visits galore around here and we have also been spending a lot of good time just playing and being together. I can't get this time back so we are enjoying it as best we can. So the computer has been off more. I won't apologize for that :)

I hope you all are enjoying your summer and your family time. I'll be back later with updates and blog posts ... We have a lot coming up in our world ... hubby and I's anniversary, Kennedy's THIRD birthday (HOW in the world?!?), we get to find out boy or girl very soon (so very fun) and the first day of Kindergarten for Pace and 1st Grade for Ryan ... I get teary just thinking about it!

... until then ... have a fun rest of your summer! :)

Love

The past couple weeks I have been working with my 3 on learning 1 Corinthians 13. I have seen some behaviors coming out in them that I didn't think was necessary and I wanted to take them back to God's word and talk about what Love is and what Love is not. I wanted them to see and understand how important it is how we treat one another and how we show them love. Especially, how they treat each other as siblings. So we have been going through this chapter verse by verse and learning it and applying it in our lives. We are taking our time because I don't just want them to "memorize it" but I want it to take root in their hearts. I want them to understand these words and understand how to apply it so that it comes out in their day to day actions and reactions.

I pray that these words would be embedded deep in my childrens heart. I pray that my children would be known by their love for each other and their love for others. I pray that as we go through all the fruits of the Spirit that they would be known by their fruit and that fruit would draw others to a relationship with Jesus because of the lives they see lived out before them. I pray that as my children are learning God's word that it would not just merely be words but that it would cause them to change, cause them to have a hunger for more of God's word and that these words would be a guide for how they walk their paths for all the days of their lives.

Psalm 119:105 "Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path."
